Allman Brothers write-in candidate

So, I heard from an old friend that Derek Trucks is leaving the Allman Brothers Band. Sad, but the news he had for me was that he was waging a campaign to get me an audition to fill the slot. A lap steel player in the ABB? Well, there's such a strong Duane Allman influence to my lap steel playing it sounds like fun. A long-shot, sure, but fun.

I'm not exactly sure how he's doing it, I think its through the Allman Brothers Website forums or some connection that he has. I'm really not sure, but what can I say, Steve, but that I'm flattered. Will they call?

Hmmm, time for a letter-writing campaign? What do you think?
